Help talent become capability—and capability become opportunity
A Guru is someone with a credible profile who can materially help students through teaching, guidance, networks, projects or placement support. The role is open to people who can demonstrate that contribution; it is not restricted to a particular academic title. We want an attractive arrangement that draws strong Gurus and strong students into a continuing cycle of learning and support.
Proposed model: legal framework not finalised
This programme is a proposal. Its legal framework and final agreements are still being developed. Registration currently expresses interest only. It does not create an income-sharing obligation, guarantee funding or guarantee employment. Corporate funds may support students. A student may eventually agree to contribute a defined part of eligible income for a defined period. Contributions would support the Guru and the programme’s reinvestment in other students. The student contribution rate, duration, income threshold, payment cap, hardship provisions, collection arrangements and exit terms have not been decided.
The Guru’s share
| Proposed Guru share | Basis |
|---|---|
| 30%–70% | Of the student’s contribution; not of total student income |
The incentive is linked to placement support and the income achieved by the student. The exact performance mechanism remains to be defined. The Guru decides the discount offered to high-scoring students, and the offer must make that discount explicit before acceptance.
Illustration only; these are not adopted student terms.

What every offer must explain
The support provided; selection criteria; eligible income; contribution percentage; start and end conditions; thresholds and caps; Guru share; student discount; treatment of unemployment and hardship; use of programme funds; disputes; and the student’s choices. Any operating-cost allocation must be disclosed. Do not describe all remaining money as funding future students if some is retained for administration.
